The summer is always an energetic and bumpin’ time for the office. Despite the stagnant heat that engulfs most of NYC, we love to spice up the daily experience with our homemade fruit waters, ice cream sandwiches and our favorite bottle of Rosé. But the best part of our summer usually sneaks in around now, in preparation for the fall TV show premieres.
When the TV shows we work on get renewed it typically means that we must be doing something right – haha. So when the news came that Raw Television‘s show “Gold Rush: Alaska” on Discovery Channel was getting renewed for a third season, we were obviously extremely excited! We have been responsible for recording the voiceover talent, Paul Christie, for the entire series so far, and we love spending time with him in-between takes. The sessions are recorded with Envy Post in London via Source Connect (ISDN-related technology that’s changing the world!!), so they can hear full resolution audio in real time.
In addition to Gold Rush, we’ve also begun working on our fourth season with Sesame Street! Growing up with “The Street” and seeing kids nowadays still respond so positively to the show speaks to the character and passion that has built and maintained the show through generations. We’re all happy and proud to be involved in something that has such an impact and gives so much back to the community. Sesame Street is always, always a fun job to work on, as it’s never too serious, and pumps a lot of creative energy throughout the studio. Our friends at Hyperactive Content produce the show, and no one could do it better!
Everyone who works in TV or advertising knows that feeling when their ideas get green-lit or renewed. It’s exciting and ultimately helps us all to grow and challenge ourselves to create the best possible entertainment experience. Isn’t that right, Cookie Monster!!
